The specifications and price of the laptop have been revealed on the government's e-marketplace (GeM) portal.
The 2GB laptop is priced at Rs 19,500.
How to buy?
This laptop is also put up for sale, but public cannot buy it, government department can buy it through GeM portal only.
It is believed that the rest of the people will be able to buy this laptop after Diwali.
32GB of storage will be available
This laptop has 2GB of RAM.
It does not have RAM expandable support.
Apart from this, you will get 32GB of storage.
The company has claimed 6 to 8 hours of battery backup in this low budget laptop.
The 1.2 kg device comes with a one-year brand warranty.
11.6 inch HD LED screen
JioBook will get an 11.6-inch HD LED back lit anti-glare screen.
The non-touch screen device will have a pixel resolution of 1366*768.
The device will get a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port and an HDMI port, along with a microSD card slot, but no Type-c port.
Snapdragon 665 processor included
Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa core processor is in-built in Geobook.
Featuring a standard form factor, the device has metallic hinges.
Its chassis is made of ABS plastic.The device runs on the company's Jio operating system.
WI-FI connectivity will also be available
This device will get 802.11ac WI-FI connectivity.
Devices with Bluetooth connectivity feature include Bluetooth version 5.2.
The device also supports 4G mobile broadband connectivity, will also get dual internet speakers and dual microphones.
There is no fingerprint scanner.
